Himachal Pradesh State Pollution Control Board is an autonomous statutory organization constituted under the provision of Water (Prevention & Control of Pollution) Act 1974 with a mandate to protect the environment and preventing & controlling the pollution of water and air in the state of Himachal Pradesh.......
FUNCTIONS
  • Comprehensive programme on Water, Air, Land etc., Pollution Control and execution thereon.
  • Issue of NOC and Consent to industries and other development projects.
  • Monitoring of Industrial effluents, rivers, water bodies, air and soil, and lab analysis thereon.
  • Inspection of sewage, trade effluent sites, industries and sewage treatment plants.
  • Enforcement of the provisions of the aforesaid rules and monitoring thereof.....
Do's
  • Use mug instead of running tap while brushing teeth.
  • Reuse water whenever possible.
  • Carry cloth, jute or paper bag to the market.
  • Use a toilet flush which consumes less water.
  • Use dustbin for grabage disposal.
  • Maintain recommended tyre pressure.
Don'ts
  • While taking bath, don't use shower run for long.
  • Don't allow water overflow from water tank.
  • Don't use running hose for washing floor.
  • Avoid unnecessary use of lights and fans.
  • Don't litter. When camping.
  • Don't use clutch pedal as footrest.
